Presenting tomorrow for Mr. Hart. Woop.
Beginning to feel the stresses of my theme upon me...SO MUCH TO DO. SO LITTLE TIME TO DO IT.
I've been really busy and I haven't been blogging at all... but. Here goes.
I HAVE MADE SO MANY THINGS. I am constantly making stuff. The latest was the 12 porcelain bowls I made. Adventures in glass and porcelain have been rewarding. just uploaded all of the photos to the gallery section. CHECK 'UM OUT, YO. I put TEN bowls in the glaze kiln. THEY ALL CAME OUT SO COOL. Really pleased with everything.
I have pretty much just been doing a lot of TAing sort of work. Taking care of glazing stuff for preparations, loading and unloading kilns. This week while Mrs. Heideman has been gone I have been supervising the class' progress. I have been checking up on the newbs' pinch and coil pots, and aiding them with glazing. I myself have glazed nine bowls, some with my new glass, which I am very excited to see how they turn out. The adventures continue!
Continued to throw and help mix glazes. Our testers didn't work out, so we are currently using pre mixed ones for consistancy. Gonna help the newbs start glazing next week.
On Tuesday I threw one bowl that was pretty average, and then I accidentally grabbed a ton of extra clay, and MASTERED IT, and totally threw the biggest bowl I have ever thrown. SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS BOWL RIGHT NOW. Additionally, I brought in some glass from the antique stores I went to this weekend for melting, and I helped out Mrs. Heideman and Fred figure out what chemicals we will be needing for our future glazing experiments! And the week is still young. Not sure yet if I can get unnattached to any of these bowls enough to give them away...
On my second day back I threw two bowls with lips and they were awesome! Super proud that I haven't lost my touch over the summer!
